Many Saturdays ago, a brother confessed to me that he felt like a hypocrite coming to church because he didn’t feel God anymore. I told him, “Hang on, I understand what you mean more than you know it.” There are periods of spiritual drought for everyone, when Jesus becomes just a name. While this is the time when Satan attacks us the most, this is also the time where God moulds us the most.

“Here Is Our King” by David Crowder Band

From wherever spring arrives to heal the ground
From wherever searching comes the look itself
A trace of what we're looking for so be quiet now and wait

The Ocean is growing
The Tide is coming in Here it is

Here is our King
Here is our Love
Here is our God whose come to bring us back to him
He is the one
He is Jesus

And what was said to the rose to make it unfold
Was said to me here in my chest so be quiet now and rest

Majesty, Finally

I never understood what this song really meant until God revealed it to me one day. This song is talking about being patient for God’s revelation of His love in trials and dry periods.

The first verse tells us that it is God who sends spring, the Holy Spirit, to heal the ground, our heart, from it’s diseases as mentioned in the Parable of the Sower. God is also the One who made us intelligent beings who ask questions has every answer to every question you will ever ask. Though we may not understand His ways at times, He will answer our deepest questions in His appointed time.

The second verse talks about how God's going to groom us into fully-bloomed roses to display His glory. The rose represents our heart. We may not be willing to serve His purposes due to past hurts, a hardened and unsurrendered heart but God will make us open to His will. He will speak and make us both willing and able to perform what He wants us to.

The chorus declares that Jesus, our King, Love and God will lift us up from where we have fallen. And on that day, we will shout out the bridge, "Majesty, finally!"
