I just wanted to showcase a few of my songs that I wrote and particularly like. I am trying my hand in writing secular songs and I'm rather pleased with these few.

This is the first time I haven't experienced and don't mean anything I sing. I made all these purely for music, typical of the poppy-puppy love songs that play on the radio.

"Grace Is Gone"

Verse 1:
I will never forget this girl
Who brought me to life
With her loving touch
And in her embrace, I am who I am
But now, she has gone away
And she's not coming back

Pre-Chorus:
My heart is sick; I'm dying inside
My mind is wrenched like a twisted nail
If I could only see her again
Maybe the pain will stop

Chorus 1:
Grace is gone, without a trace
Grace is gone and I don't know what to say
Will the hurt just go away
Grace is gone, will I ever be the same

Chorus 2:
Grace is gone, without a word
Grace is gone and I don't know how to feel
All these years and all my tears
Grace is gone, will I learn to smile again

"I'm All Out"

Verse 1:
I'm all out of love, I'm all out of confidence
I have no esteem, I don't know what self-worth means
I'm all out of faith, I'm all out of hope that saves
I'm broken in so many bits I can't piece me together

Chorus:

I need you to be here for me
And I can't live on my own; I need somebody
To tell me who I am and who I should be
Would you be the one who defines me

Verse 2:
I'm all out of place, I'm all out of things to say
I'm waving goodbye to people saying 'Hi"
I'm all out of touch, I'm all out of everything
I'm isolated; who says 'no man is an island'

“Davis Girl”

Verse 1:
There’s a place in Singapore
Really caught my attention
Down a level in Peninsula
There’s a guitar store

Verse 2:
Looking through the window
I can’t help but gasp
There’s an amazing model
Who looks like a doll

Chorus 1:
Oh Davis Girl, you’re so fine
Oh Davis Girl, I want to make you mine
Oh Davis Girl, I’ll travel a mile
Just to see your lovely smile

Verse 3:
I would gladly work
For her if she’ll hire
I don’t mind sweeping
Her off her feet

Verse 4:
Maybe I should learn to play
An instrument or two
Maybe then she’ll listen
To this sweet melody

Chorus 2:
Oh Davis Girl, I’ll learn to strum
Oh Davis Girl, maybe I’ll play a drum
Oh Davis Girl, won’t you sing
This song along with me

“When You Don’t Love Me”

Verse 1:
Did I ever tell you I love you and you mean the world to me
Have you forgotten our promises to each other
We used to lie down and watch the clouds go on sailing by
But now I feel like we have a wall between us

Pre-Chorus 1:
I’ve been trying to mend the holes of the hurt in your heart
I’ve tried my best but I’m sorry if my best is not enough

Chorus:
Baby, when I lost you, I realized you are the one for me
Whatever it cost you, it surely cost me more
Cause I can’t eat, no, I can’t sleep
No, I can hardly breathe when you don’t love me

Verse 2:
Did I ever tell you that you are so beautiful to me
Have you forgotten how we met on the train that day
We saw each other among a crowded sea of faces
And somehow we both knew we were meant for each other

Pre-Chorus 2:
I’ve been calling but you don’t seem to care anymore
I can’t help feeling our love is out of your heart

“I’m No Longer Me”

Verse 1:
It’s been a while since I said hello
It’s been a while since I let anyone know
How I’m feeling deep inside of my soul
Ever since I let you go

Chorus:
I’m not as strong as I thought
And I need someone to guide me
To some place where I can learn to be
The person I always knew was me

Verse 2:
It’s been a while since we talked it through
It’s been a while since we held each other close
And you would tell me everything on your mind
Now I’m missing the girl of my life

Bridge:
I’m not who I used to be
Part of me died with the memories
The guy I remember so fondly
Is stuck in the pictures of you and me

“I Don’t Really Care”

Verse 1:
I’ve been thinking about our relationship and how it has changed
Four years seem too much to take and I’m close to leaving
Don’t try to persuade me; my mind is set
Sorry for hurting Your feelings but this is where it ends

Chorus:
I don’t really care
I don’t really want to
I know I’m selfish
I know I’m rude
But what I’ve been through
Is more than what I can take
More than what I asked for
It’s no piece of cake

Verse 2:
If I had more to give, I would push on through
But I’m all drained out and I’m feeling blue
It would be better not to waste my time
I feel I’ve been led on some rollercoaster ride

Extro:
I hoped we would last forever
Some part of me still does
